...December 24 until January 4 I had the pleasure to visit the world metropolis and it was an impressive experience. I spend the two weeks with some German fellow students whom I met in NYC.
The most time we were in Manhattan which offers the most sight seen attractions. But also neighbor cities and districts like Hoboken (New Jersey), Brooklyn and Queens were objectives of our activities.
My time in New York contains so much experiences that it would be exaggerated to report in full. Therefore I let speak the pictures which should give you an overview of my time.
Just some attendant sentences.
New York City was extreme(!!!) crowded. A lot of people told me that the Christmas time is the craziest time for a trip to New York. But anyway, we had fun. We visited popular destinations like the Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, UNO Headquarter, Time Square, 5th Avenue and many others. Once we hit the road and spend one day in Philadelphia, also a big city which is located close to NYC in the State Pennsylvania (two hours by car). Christmas we celebrated in Iliya’s location (it was just smooth and contemplative) and New Years Eve we spend in an “Arabic location” and at 12 o’ clock we were under the Brooklyn Bridge (Brooklyn side) and had a very beautiful view over Manhattan.
Furthermore we visited an NBA Basketball game which was a kind of highlight for me (The New York Knicks met the Dallas Nuggets). We saw the event in the well known Madison Square Garden which is also an location for other big show events (MTV Music Awards …).
New York is an extreme exiting place and a “must” for every U.S. tourist but it’s not what the media shows us every day in television and internet.
Folks … I guess this block entry is my last one. You won’t believe it but I will finish my Internship in about six weeks and fly back to Germany. Time was running very fast and I still try to absorb the one or other thing in the last weeks.
I am looking forward to see you all in some weeks again.
Best,
Ben
