We all got wetsuits with names on it. And mine has been... Miss Universe! Well, I looked like a too hot cooked sausage in it, but who cares. So we went out for surfing all morning and all afternoon. At the beginning I have been that fucking bad, you do not even wanna believe it. But the second day I finally managed to stand up. After three days we moved on to another beach where the waves have been really harsh. They kept smashing us around like punching balls and I've been more under water than over it. It seemed like the ocean was playing bowling with us, hitting one strike after the other. It felt like in a washing machine. And when you came out of it you have been put directly into the dryer. It wasn't that fun anymore and one after the other went out of the water. But we kept trying.
At night we went to a fireplace and we really needed it. During the day the weather is perfect but at night it is that cold you're shacking.
Two days ago we arrived in Byron Bay. I staied in the Arts Factory. A nice Hippie Hostel with a pool. I loved it. Today I will move on to the Aquarius where all the others are. It is a bit cheeper and also nice.
Yesterday night we went out for a free BBQ at the beach, organised by a bible college. The people have been so cool and friendly and the food was simple but good. This morning Andrea (from the Netherlands) and me went to church with them. Now we will go for a two hours walk to the light house, hoping to see some wals and dolphines there. On Monday we want to go to the hippietown Nimbim and on Tuesday we will hopp on the bus to Surfer's Paradise. I've been told that you hate it or you love it. So let's see.
P.S.: Wanna be a real Aussi? Let me tell you how to do. Find everything awesome, say always sweet and be always so excited. That's it! (I can not yet do it myself as it makes me laughing)
